Cigna Medical Insurance Review

Cigna has a tradition for first-class service that can trace itself back more than 200 years.

Customers can select from one of three levels of personal health care and add a number of optional benefits to these three packages. Cigna offers easy access to quality healthcare internationally, and has 90 million customers across the globe. In addition to individual healthcare, Cigna also offers healthcare for government, corporates, and SMEs and entrepreneurs.

Cigna was founded in 1982 from the merger of Connecticut General Life Insurance Company (CG) and INA Corporation (the parent corporation of Insurance Company of North America). The company name comes from the CG and INA of the two original companies. The Insurance Company of North America was founded in 1792, while the Connecticut General was founded in 1865. Despite this great longevity, Cigna is an innovative and flexible company. They opened their Middle East and North Africa headquarters in the Dubai Trade Centre in 2018.

Once you have preauthorized your treatment, you can be assured that your bill will be covered.

Alternatively – and especially in emergency cases –get your treatment and then submit a claim and invoice within 48-hours.

Either way, call the Cigna Customer Care Team on +44 (0) 1475 788182 (or 800 835 7677 from the US).

Note: customers don’t need to send a claim form if they provide confirmation of their diagnosis or explanation of treatment.
